Resolved - One of our internet carriers in DC3 scheduled a last minute maintenance window which caused a brief interruption to some customers at approx. 05:32 UTC and reoccurred again at 06:01 UTC. This would have impacted only live customers subscribed to CME or ICE. Any customers impacted by the interruption would be able to reconnect to restart their subscriptions.

Resolved - Today at 18:35:29 UTC (2:35pm ET), our primary live gateway for Nasdaq TotalView (XNAS.ITCH) had an unrecovered gap while processing upstream data. This manifested in MBO data having the `F_MAYBE_BAD_BOOK` flag set, and MBP-10 & MBP-1 books being unstable while they underwent natural refresh. The missing data is not recoverable on the customer side.

This did not impact historical data or captures, nor did it impact other feeds such as Nasdaq Basic.

Resolved - This incident has been resolved.
Oct 29, 19:47 UTC
Monitoring - We have finished failing over to our secondary live data gateways for both CME and ICE.
Some customers may have been disconnected as part of the failover process, but can reconnect.

Historical data and captures are not impacted by this issue.

Oct 29, 17:00 UTC
Identified - There was an outage of Live CME and ICE data.
For CME (GLBX.MDP3), one of our two primary production gateways had no data from approximately 16:07 -- 16:23 UTC.
We are working on restoring data for ICE and understanding the full impact

Completed - The scheduled maintenance has been completed.
Oct 23, 00:35 UTC
In progress - Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.
Oct 22, 21:00 UTC
Scheduled - As part of our upcoming changes to the IFEU.IMPACT and NDEX.IMPACT datasets, we will be rolling out the new normalization format to these datasets.

During the maintenance window, access to IFEU.IMPACT and NDEX.IMPACT data through the historical API will be limited to an end time of 2025-10-22T00:00:00Z. Data before this time, other datasets, and the live API will not be impacted. After the maintenance window is over, this data will be available again (as normal).

More information about the change is available on our blog post here: https://databento.com/blog/upcoming-changes-to-ifeu-and-ndex-data-normalization

Resolved - There were no issues for the rest of the trading day. SIAC OPRA has reported that they will revert to their production facility for trading tomorrow.

More information from SIAC OPRA available here: https://www.nyse.com/siac/opra/alerts#110000952166

Oct 22, 20:52 UTC
Monitoring - We have resolved the issue internally and customers should be able to re-connect and access OPRA data. (Clients were disconnected as part of the failover process.)

Latencies may be higher than typical for the remainder of the day.

Intraday replay over the Live API does have the whole day's history, but there is no data for 17:44 -- 17:49 UTC from the period where SIAC OPRA was failing over their systems.

The Historical API and PCAP services are not affected.

Oct 22, 18:05 UTC
Identified - We have identified that our primary OPRA handler did not recover from the upstream failover, and we need to fail over our live data gateways to their backups.
Oct 22, 17:55 UTC
Monitoring - We are seeing data from OPRA resume as of ~17:49 UTC. We will continue to monitor both our system and SIAC OPRA's alerts.

SIAC OPRA reports:
"OPRA failed over to secondary data center to restore normal processing as of 1:50pm. OPRA is now processing normally."

Oct 22, 17:51 UTC
Identified - SIAC OPRA has identified an issue with their systems and is failing over to their backup datacenter. We will continue to provide data as soon as they have completed this operation.

Resolved - This incident has been resolved.

Monitoring - We're noticing that there may be some side effects across our services caused by the global AWS outage today. Although we do not use AWS EC2, it appears that some of our third-party services providers (such as Intercom and Slack for chat support) are experiencing intermittent slowness, likely as a result of the AWS outage.

If you are having trouble with chat support, we can also be reached at our support email address.
